Readers of popular dancehall website Outaroad.com may have seen this post titled "Fans disagreed with Sean Paul winning the MOBO Award". Saw it amongst a bunch of other posts made by @Outaroad's twitter account. Skipped past all of them, but then something told me (6th sense? Jah? Who knows?) to check the Sean Paul to see what they were saying. Low and behold they quoted my MOBO Award blogpost lol.

This tune here is a boomshell! Just heard it on the gorgeous Max's 1Xtra show so I'm guessing/hoping it is released over here instead of Press It Up. It will work much better for the UK audience and was the main song which stood out to me at the Imperial Blaze listening session. Didn't have Keri Hilson on at the time but he did point out he'd have a special feature on there. Judging by her tweets around her performance at Reggae SumFest Keri likes her reggae. Big fan of Jah Cure (click for my exclusive interview with him) and Lady Saw.
Fans of the dancehall music scene need Sean Paul to do well. Hopefully this song shines the light back on to him, and maybe the scene while we are at it! *Raises glass of no frills orange juice (I'm not a drinker)* Here's to success.
Sean Paul walking away with MOBO award for Best Reggae Album has left many persons upset saying that it's impossible that he won the award especially his album was recently released in summer.First thing I thought: proof read in case something gets quoted again. To be real, I wrote it the night of the MOBOs (awards finished at about 12ish, blog finished @ about 1.30ish) before I went bed. I meant "(same length since we had a reggae performance)". Onea dem "started so I'll finish" ones else I would have made sure the checks were done. Second thing, I represent the fans yeah? I'm cool with that. Thank you to whoever saw my post and deemed it worthy of quoting.
Sean Paul surprisingly beat out Serani, Movado, Taurus Riley and the lyrical genius Vybz Kartel to make it his second time winning the prestigious MOBO award.
According to Marvin Sparks from BlogSpot.com, "you give this to Sean Paul? Been inactive for 3 years (same length since we had a Reggae artist), released one dead song (which didn't sound Reggae to me but still), 'bout to release another dry song, yet you bless him with a MOBO? Is that how cheap a MOBO award is?
"That was Serani's award. Can't we go back to when you helped buss songs to the mainstream? Without MOBO I doubt Beenie Man's Who Am I, Mr Vegas' Heads High or Sean Paul's Gimme Di Light would have charted so high (Beenie top 10, think other 2 were top 20), Serani deserved that award."
