Once I get up out of bed anyway. At least I'm awake another day!
Today's post will have more varied inspirations than yesterdays X-Factor thoughts of the day.
Gotta go from Adulthood to Anuvahood
Doesn't quite have the same ring. One syllable out. Will work on that for next time. Noel Clarke isn't happy about Adam Deacon writing this spin off from Clarke's successful movies. I wanna know why Adam Deacon's slogan is "My Size" when no one's his size? Maybe that's the point of it, but still. He's about 5' and some loose change. (disclaimer: those who have seen me SHAT YA MOUT!)
Simpsons: Banksy takeover
"Street artist Banksy has turned director for a controversial new opening sequence of The Simpsons episode, MoneyBart, featuring an Asian sweatshop." Continue reading 'ere
A very good look. Had to read up to see what his involvement was though. When I heard about it I thought there will be The Simpsons graffiti'd on a wall.
Funny how Banksy got this far, yet man like TOX is a criminal
"Daniel Halpin - A 19-year-old convicted of graffiti damage to a tube depot has been served an order banning him from carrying any graffiti-related materials for a period of five years. He is also banned, over this time, from associating with any of those he committed the original offence with (December 2003) He later breached the order and spent four-and-a-half months on remand in a young offender institution before being sentenced to a 200-hour community punishment order (October 2004)"
Teeemmmmmmmmmmpppppppppzzzzzzzzz spotted over at Teflon Don-atella's site
Doesn't require anymore of a sub-heading to be honest. Tempa T x Chase & Status 'Hypest Hype' (in my humble opinion) is the result of Logan Sama mixing C&S produced Saxon into Tempa T's 'Next Hype' live PA. They did actually make a track of that, now this. Pay Logan I say. Tempz is like a black Marvel action man. Not gonna lie, this is one bagga noise to me. They tried to recreate the monstrous Saxon and failed.
Here is the Logan show I'm on about. Hold tight SB
Quote of the Day: Ricky Rozay on reggae
Rick Ross just tweeted: "in swisher suite studio..laying vocals for reggae superstar jacure..#riddims"
He meant Jah Cure, silly overweight bastad, but good on him. Interview I did with Jah Cure
Riko Dan goes into SKENGMAN MODE with a twist spotted over at Grime Daily
Whether you enjoy Grime or the song, just watch it. I think it's a good feature/campaign. Good twist at the end.
In response to one aspect of that video: *adds reverb and puts on Jamaican patois* John Holt weh we tell dem "If you continue to burn up the herbs, we're going to burn down the (sugar) cane fields"
Peter Tosh passes his opinion on the herb found on the grave of King Soloman
I have one Sizzla I really would drop into the mix but I don't have a parental advisory tag on here. ("Big long *** ah run out pon dem")
Throwback tune of the day: "Can't tek man for friggin Tina Turner"
"K! Lash-ya-rassclaat-neck-off" Murda. One of the best hip hop songs ever! UK, US, Japanese... anything! Stone Cold CLASSIC
Real Badman Never Afraid: The Corrs 'What Can I Do' (Tin Tin Out remix)
Featured this in a collaboration Real Badman Never Afraid x FlashBack Friday post but I heard it again yesterday. Sounds even better driving through Streatham in the sun. In fact I've got tomorrow's song to be rinsed lined up already
